The first trailer for the science fiction movie War of the Worlds has been released

The first trailer for a new film adaptation of the science fiction classic, War of the Worlds, has been released. This version is notable for telling the entire story through a computer screen, a genre known as “Screenlife” or “desktop film.” In this format, the narrative unfolds entirely through images on a computer screen and online conversations.
This new movie, directed by Timur Bekmambetov, is a significant departure from Steven Spielberg’s previous adaptation of H.G. Wells’ novel. The film, which was completed five years ago but has not yet been released, will now premiere directly on Amazon Prime Video on July 30th.
The plot also makes some key changes. The story centers on a cybersecurity expert played by Ice Cube, who uncovers a government secret while scanning data. When an alien invasion begins, revealing this secret becomes the key to stopping it.
In addition to Ice Cube, the cast includes Eva Longoria, Clark Gregg, Andrea Savage, Henry Hunter Hall, and Iman Benson. The trailer suggests this could be the most expensive desktop film ever made.
